Getting started
- Click Get Started on the home page and register with your name, email and a password.
- Choose a plan. Plans that include a free trial let you try AdvoFits before you pay.
- Open Settings and set up your firm: name, logo, currency (LKR), and the date format you prefer.
- Add your courts under Court Management, so you can pick them when you add a case.
Tip: add one client and one case first. Once you have seen how they fit together, the rest is easy.
Cases and hearings
- Go to Cases and click to add a new case.
- Fill in the case title and number, the court, the parties, the case type and its status.
- Choose the client the case belongs to, and the team members working on it.
- Open Hearings and add the next hearing date, with the court and time.
- Check Diary - Calendar to see your upcoming hearings in a calendar. The dashboard also shows what is coming up.
You can create your own case types, case statuses and hearing types under Case Setup, so the lists match the way your firm works.
Clients
- Go to Clients and add the client's name, phone, email and address.
- Link the client to their cases, so everything about them is in one place.
- To let a client follow their own cases and invoices, give them a client portal login. They see only their own information.
Documents
- Open Documents and upload a file, such as a plaint, affidavit, order or agreement.
- Choose a document type, and link it to the right case or client.
- Only people you allow can see or download a document. Your team's access follows the permissions you set for each role.
Billing and invoices
- Record your work in Time Sheet, and your costs in Expenses.
- Go to Invoices and create an invoice for the client, in Sri Lankan Rupees.
- When the client pays, record it in Payments. You can record cash, cheque, bank transfer or online payments.
- Invoices show what is paid and what is still due.
Team and permissions
- Go to Roles and choose what each kind of person can see or change, for example a junior lawyer, a clerk or an accountant.
- Open Team Members and add each person with their email and role.
- Give out work with Tasks, and follow its progress on the board.
Your plan sets how many users, cases and clients you can add. You can see these limits on the Plans page.
Plans and payment
- Plans are priced in Sri Lankan Rupees. You can pay monthly, or pay for a year and save.
- You can upgrade your plan at any time from the Plans page.
- If a plan ends, your data is not deleted. Your firm is locked until you renew, and you can still download your data and ask for help.
- If AdvoFits is not right for you, see our Refund Policy: you can ask for a refund within 30 days of paying.
Privacy and security
- Each firm's data is kept separate from other firms, and only the people you allow can see it.
- Turn on two-factor sign-in from your Profile for extra protection.
- The Audit Log shows who created, changed or deleted a record.
- You can download your firm's data at any time with Download my data.
Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
